The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables citizens of 36 developed countries to travel to the US for tourism or business for up to 90 days without a visa. The program applies to all 50 US states and the US territories of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands has in the Caribbean, as well as other US territories with some modifications as noted below.
To be eligible for a visa waiver under the VWP, must be taking travelers into the United States is a citizen of a Visa Waiver country. There are permanent residents of VWP countries to qualify for visa waiver.

1) Machine readable and biometric passports 2) All travelers has must have individual passports there. Not acceptable (for the visa waiver scheme) for children to be included on the passport of a parent.
1) Passports issued or renewed before 26 October 2005 must be machine readable. 2) Passports issued or renewed after 26 October 2005 must be machine readable and digitized photograph, or must be biometric passports. has 3) Passports issued or renewed after 26 October 2006 must be biometric (citizens must of VWP post-2008 members present a biometric passport). 4) Electronic has System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) All passengers arriving intending to benefit from the Visa Waiver Program are required to complete the Form I-94W online before departure to the United States, but preferably at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance.
