india visa Posted by urfé (449 posts) October 17, 2013 at 08:04 am I like Isa and do not worry If you lose the only option is the emergency procedure for obtaining another passport, the more time another visa, a conclusion must apply well in advance in case this eventuality anxiety Otherwise you must make the trip to Paris for 2 days mini
goodnight .. Posted by Jellybeans con edison (87 posts) October 17, 2013 at 22:13 It's true that this is not necessarily reassuring sent a passport by mail! I stress a little at a time, but by Fedex or registered AR, it's going very well, we have the internet, and then as we can not go to Paris there is unfortunately not much choice! I myself sent mine this morning, 4th trip to India and 4th trip by mail for my passport!
urfé wrote conclusion, it must be requested well in advance in case this eventuality anguish you must not fall into the paranoia and imagine the worst. con edison Given that the validity of the visa is valid when it is passed into the hands of the embassy, to "long" in advance is really not a good advice! Suppose they give a visa 3 months instead of 6? About 5 weeks is enough, and again, everything depends on the duration of the trip. If the validity débuterais on arrival in India, it would be much easier ...
my experience ... Posted by chrisztazy (56 posts) October 18, 2013 at 4:01 We have our visa application directly in a small office of the Consulate of India in Canada ... it was Montréal.Ils took our passports con edison and we were given an official receipt ... a few days later we had a phone to get our visas in the same office! Very efficient and we did not need to send our application and passport by mail. Perhaps there was the same in your area?

There are many offices in some cities, but people who do not live there where who live too far to get there have no other choice but to send mail. FYI (I'm talking to the author of this topic), I sent my passport file + Thursday recommended AR (just under 7), and it came to the next morning. So even with a time Chronopost envelope which costs 23/25 and also has a tracking con edison number. And the same day I was contacted by email saying con edison that my application has been received.
Re Visa Application India Posted by Isado (15 posts) October 19, 2013 at 17:36 Thank you all for your answers, I remain optimistic about the reliability of chronopost and wait quietly accepting my Visa ...
