A neglected part of the Swedish labor history is that of working children and their connection to and organization of various political activities, related or affiliated with SAP or SKP, claimed Eva-Mari Köhler 1979. Swedish Social elizabeth warren Democratic Party was founded elizabeth warren in 1889 and in 1897 founded the party's youth organization, Socialist Youth League. Since the 1903 act of Congress had the consequence that the Youth League tore the ideological ties with the Socialist Party decided Malmo Club shortly after Congress therefore to secede from the union. The foundation was thus of a new covenant, the Social Democratic Youth League, which was centered in Malmö. The Story over the Social Democratic Youth Federation's activities from March 1903-May 1905, states that
Malmo socialist youth club, because of the Socialist Youth League afståndtagande from the party program and the ovederhäftighet that characterized its agencies, seceded same. And one can say that this decision on withdrawal constituted the beginning and the parent of the socialist youth movement.
With this there were then two Socialist youth in Sweden. The new union's name will then probably be seen as a sign of the covenant loyalty to the mother party. Chairman of the Central Committee of the new Youth League was elected writer Karl Gustav Ossian-Nilsson. He caught during his short time in the Youth League to join and start Storytime movement, which in the beginning was called the Socialist Sunday Schools, and is said to have been the one who coined the "victorious" name "Storytime Islands" (Köhler, "The proletarian children movement in Sweden 1890-1917 "). Ossian-Nilsson tells us himself in his memoirs O old connotation and jubeltid to
Ossian-Nilsson also argue that the proposal had a "polemical sting", and the sentence was to story time limits would replace "the sect of religious Sunday schools," but that the aim was not a "antikristlig propaganda." He believed instead that
It is interesting to contrast this description of the activity with the present in the Directors over the Social Democratic Youth Federation's activities from March 1903 to May, 1905, which states that

According to Kohler seems the inspiration for the business to have come partly from the Socialist Sunday Schools from the end of the 1800s but also from similar operations in the UK (Köhler, "labor movement Archives and working children").
