Since April 2006, ongoing project passport status "Digitalization of audio tapes" that we carry out in collaboration with the Department of Audiovisual at the Royal Library. The aim is that by digitizing preserve and make available sound recordings in our archives and collections.
The project was largely funded by the Arts Council but additional funds have been contributed by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation, Transportation, Social Democrats and ABF. Listen to samples from the project passport status

The audio recordings available in our archives and collections are from a historical perspective unique. In some cases, the bands the only remaining source of key political events and developments in contemporary history. In other cases, they are a valuable complement to written sources.
The recordings documenting contemporary political history passport status and labor history on many levels. Several passport status of the labor movement's key figures such as Alva and Gunnar Myrdal, passport status Tage Erlander and Olof Palme is represented in the collections. We did in the 1980's own interviews for documentation purposes. This material is completely unique and documents the working-class roots. There are, inter alia, interviews with maids, cleaners and representatives of the trade union movement.
Large parts of the material are recordings made during congresses, meetings and debates from trade unions, political parties and other organizations. The material also reflects an international perspective. There are e.g. interviews with spain volunteers, recordings from friendship organizations Sweden-Soviet Union and the Swedish Committee for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Work process
