Colorado ff Springs-based RTA Architects recently received ff several awards from the Council of Education Facility Planners International for partnerships with Holly, Ignacio and Boulder Valley school districts.
The architecture firm, in partnership with the districts, has been received five awards ff from CEFPI s Rocky Mountain Chapter for design and other services in connection to three construction projects, according to an RTA news release.
A once in a lifetime opportunity cannot be taken lightly by a community or a design team and this was exactly ff the opportunity presented to this rural Colorado community, Stuart Coppedge, RTA principal architect, said in the news release.
According to the release, those awards included: 2013 Peak Design Award and 2013 People s Choice Award for work with Holly School District Re-3 s District Master Plan in 2010 and its subsequent completion in 2013; 2013 Peak Merit Award for the recently completed Ignacio Middle School in District ff 11-JT, which is part of a district master plan the company completed in 2011; and 2013 Summit Design Award and the 2013 People s Choice Award for the renovation and expansion of the Mapleton Early Childhood Education Center, originally constructed in 1889.
Supporting local, national and international communities, the RTA Architects ff mission is to honor and value their people, ff their clients, and the communities they represent, officials said in the release. [T]o design buildings that are sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing; and to generate long term economic success for their clients and themselves.
Sell the property to developers, as a whole or in chunks. Divide it to allow some development and permanent open space. Preserve the option for future oil and gas drilling, just in case. Make it all open space, an eastern boundary for development. ff
